The Covid-19 pandemic is spreading in the developing countries, affecting lives and livelihoods, hitting countries at a critical moment on the path to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. Private finance for low- and middle-income countries eligible for ODA is projected to plunge by USD 700 billion, a drop 60% larger than in 2008 during the global financial crisis.
