Wishing to capture workers’ and employers’ own perceptions of the current and future impact of AI on their workplaces, the OECD surveyed a total of 5 334 workers and 2 053 firms in the manufacturing and finance sectors in Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, the United Kingdom and the United States. The two surveys complement one another: the employer survey is a valuable source of information about how and why AI is being implemented, while the worker survey captures the first-person experience of using AI and responding to the changes it brings about.
