eChemPortal brings you worldwide information about chemicals in a one-stop source. At a glance, find information on chemicals, pesticides and biocides to support health and environmental decision making. Everything you need to know on chemicals is available through three different searches: substance search, property search and classification and labelling search.
eChemPortal: Global Portal to Information on Chemical Substances
eChemPortal is an Internet gateway to information on the properties, hazards and risks of chemicals found in the environment, homes and workplaces, and in everyday products.
About
Maintenance Release
The OECD is pleased to announce the maintenance release of eChemPortal on 20 June 2024.
This maintenance release includes an alignment of the chemical property search fields and catalogue with elements of the OECD Harmonised Templates updated in IUCLID 6 v7, which was published in May 2023. In addition, this new version of eChemPortal provides fixes and improvements, for example for property searches using nested query blocks, and for importing larger datasets.

The eChemPortal Guidance for New Participants
This Guidance provides concise and practical information to help organisations identify the type of chemicals information shared on the eChemPortal and to define the best strategy to participate as a data source.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is responsible for the development and maintenance of eChemPortal, and eChemPortal is hosted by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA). The data sources accessed through eChemPortal are maintained by and remain the responsibility of the organisations that create them. The data and information stored in each data source are the responsibility of the data owner. Participating data sources are responsible for ensuring links from eChemPortal to their local data sources are updated.
Extending eChemPortal
Holders of Internet-accessible databases or report collections containing peer-reviewed information on physical-chemical properties, environmental fate and pathways, ecotoxicity or toxicity of chemicals, as well as their use and exposure, are invited to participate in eChemPortal.
Proposals should be submitted to the OECD Secretariat at echemportal@oecd.org.
