Supporting the digital transformation of SMEs in Eastern Partner Countries

Participants visited key institutions including Trentino Sviluppo, a regional development agency supporting new entrepreneurial and innovative projects, and Progetto Manifattura, which is transforming a historic tobacco factory into a leading innovation center for green building and renewable energy. They also explored the Edmund Mach Foundation, renowned for its multidisciplinary research and technology transfer in agriculture, food, and environmental sciences, and the Polo Meccatronica, a hub dedicated to mechatronics, promoting interdisciplinary synergies in mechanics, electronics, and information technology.

These visits included tours of facilities such as the Manifattura Tabacchi, showcasing successful green innovation projects, and the SMACT Competence Centre Rovereto, providing demonstrations of cutting-edge mechatronic solutions.  Participants will also engage with local Digital Innovation Hub, HIT (Hub Innovazione Trentino) and visit the Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK), known for its innovative research in science and technology. Additionally, they explored the role of cooperatives like APOT in Trentino’s fruit sector, highlighting their contributions to sustainable agriculture and local employment.
