Since the last edition of the Western Balkans Competitiveness Outlook publication, Kosovo has made significant advance, positively progressing across 12 of the 15 assessed policy dimensions, with the strongest improvements observed in investment, agriculture and tourism policy.
However, despite this progress, there is still substantial room for the economy to further bolster its competitiveness, better align with OECD and EU good standards and practices, and ultimately accelerate its pace of convergence toward OECD and EU counterparts.
Drawing on the findings of the 2024 Kosovo Economy Profile from the Western Balkans Competitiveness Outlook series, the objective of this meeting was to present and discuss Kosovo’s main achievements and challenges, while also offering the chance to reflect on developments that have occurred since the end of the assessment period.
