Bosnia and Herzegovina has advanced since the last edition of the Western Balkans Competitiveness Outlook, improving in 11 of 15 policy dimensions, with the strongest score increases in trade and agriculture policies. Despite this progress, there remains untapped potential for the economy to boost its competitiveness, align more effectively with OECD and EU standards, and accelerate its convergence with EU and OECD counterparts.
Based on the findings of the 2024 Bosnia and Herzegovina Economy Profile from the Western Balkans Competitiveness Outlook series, the launch events aimed to present and discuss the economy’s key achievements and challenges, while also reflecting on developments that have occurred since the end of the assessment period. It further offered an opportunity to explore policy options, particularly those aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of policies impacting the economy’s business environment.
