The Network on Governance (GovNet) of the Development Assistance Committee’s (DAC) and its subsidiary the Anti-Corruption Task Team (ACTT) aim to improve governance policies and practices in development co-operation, so as to support the attainment of more open, inclusive and democratic societies.
The GovNet brings together experts and practitioners from development cooperation agencies across DAC countries, multilateral entities (UN and multilateral development banks), civil society organisations, research institutes and think tanks.
In addition to sharing lessons and experiences, GovNet and the ACTT are an incubator of innovative policy ideas on governance issues related to digitalisation, the fight against climate change, illicit financial flows, anti-corruption and more.

Year founded
The Governance Network is one of the longest standing networks of the DAC. Created in the early 2000s, the ACTT is tasked with leading the DAC’s work on anti-corruption.

Observers
The Network benefits from the participation of 15 international organisations as observers, and operates in collaboration with specialists from civil society organisations, universities and think-tanks through plenary meetings, small meetings, reference groups and events.
The ACTT helps DAC members implement the 2016 Council Recommendation for Development Co-operation Actors on Managing the Risks of Corruption through a hybrid mechanism comprising the use of DAC peer reviews, dedicated meetings and thematic policy work.
By mapping the links between IFFs and development in a variety of sectors, the GovNet and ACTT help members identify the best ways in which ODA can contribute to countering the risks and minimising the impacts.
