The Spanish labour market faces a number of structural challenges that could be addressed through improvements in the areas of skills mismatches, precarious forms of work, high youth unemployment rates, and high levels of labour market segmentation. In response to these challenges, the Spanish government has put forward ambitious employment initiatives within the Spanish RRP aimed at facilitating a dynamic, resilient and inclusive labour market and supporting the acquisition of green and digital skills.
Strengthening policies and governance arrangements within the Spanish National Employment System
The OECD and the European Commission are providing technical support to the State Public Employment Service of Spain (SEPE) to identify good practices among selected active labour market policies (ALMPs) implemented within the Spanish Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP).
