The Global Debt Report 2024 was prepared by the Capital Markets and Financial Institutions Division within the OECD Directorate for Financial and Enterprise Affairs (DAF), under the general supervision of Serdar Çelik, Head of Division.
Chapter 1 “Sovereign borrowing outlook” is one of the activities of the OECD Working Party on Debt Management (WPDM), supported by the Financial Markets Unit of the Capital Markets and Financial Institutions Division within DAF. This Outlook was prepared by Pietrangelo De Biase and Luca Policino, with the support of Sam Foxall, under the supervision of Fatos Koc, Head of the Unit. Chapter 2 “Corporate debt markets in a changing macrofinancial landscape” was prepared by Carl Magnus Magnusson, Tugba Mulazimoglu, Caroline Roulet and Yun Tang, under the supervision of Alejandra Medina, Acting Head of the Financial Economics Team, all from the Capital Markets and Financial Institutions Division within DAF. An initial draft of this chapter was discussed by the OECD Committee on Financial Markets and incorporates comments from delegates.
Chapter 3 “Sustainable bonds: State of the market and policy considerations” was prepared by Pietrangelo De Biase, Adriana De La Cruz, Caio de Oliveira and Giulio Mazzone with the support of Valentina Cociancich and Luca Policino, all from the Capital Markets and Financial Institutions Division within DAF. An initial draft of the chapter was discussed by the OECD Committee on Financial Markets and the Corporate Governance Committee and incorporates comments from delegates.
