The OECD would also like to thank the participants in the fact-finding mission held in October in Stockholm. During the fact-finding mission, the OECD conducted in-depth interviews and meetings with a representative sample of line Ministries, agencies, commissions, and regional associations. These interviews were instrumental in improving the OECD’s understanding of the Swedish context and providing evidence and insights that reflect national and sectoral priorities.

Sections 1 and 2 on public sector effectiveness and spending were written by Javier Baraibar, Ismail Bazine, Giulio Iacobelli, Teresa Lazzaroni Andina and Carla Musi, under the guidance of Arnault Prêtet.
