Agnieszka Sułowska holds a Master’s Degree in mathematics from the University of Warsaw. At present she is a lecturer at the University of Warsaw and at the School of Education of the Polish-American Freedom Foundation preparing future math teachers. She is also a test developer and reviewer at the Central Examination Commission and the leader of the Polish math expert group in the PISA study (since 2002). Based on this experience, she was invited to write a chapter on PISA test coding published in the book “Assessing Mathematical Literacy – the PISA experience”, Stacey, Kaye; Turner, Ross (EDS.), Springer 2014.
In the past she has been a researcher at the Institute of Educational Research, a high school math teacher and an author and a professional editor of math textbooks. Her most important professional experiences include the position of the Leading Expert at the Polish Ministry of Education during the 2008 national curriculum reform and of the leader of the national project implementing an obligatory final high school exam in mathematics (2007-2015). Recently she participated in preparing a report for the Trump Family Foundation “Performance analysis of Israeli students in PISA math tests” and a presentation on Polish exam math problems for the Scientific Council of the French Ministry of Education.
